Imogen’s dissertation, completed at Maastricht University, stands out for its rigorous fieldwork, innovative methodology, and deeply nuanced analysis of how Chinese state capital operates across Europe. Her work offers a thought-provoking and comprehensive examination of the intersection between finance and geopolitics, with each chapter offering rich discussions and original insights. She is now an Assistant Professor of International Political Economy at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
